Based on the Greek nouns skia (shadow) and mache (battle), the Greeks formed skiamacia from which we took sciamacy, fighting with a shadow, a futile combat with an imaginary foe. Fighting against an imaginary enemy, or imagined injustices or wrongs. Paranoids, in mental conflict with the imagined hostility of others, are involved in sciamachy.
Boy, if sciamachy doesn’t describe the NFL players kneeling, I don’t know what does...
If only the word were more onomatapiac. As it stands it is an indictment of the knee takers, black mask Marxist thugs, not to even mention Muslim terrorists, who pepper our national discourse with their pretentious, and sometimes deadly, fake hysteria. There is a word for it. Remember Don Quixote tilting at windmills.

By all indications, Hillary is incapable of abandoning sciamachy and blame and accepting personal responsibility for her loss.

The root "scia" made me think of sciatica, but there's no relation between the words or roots.
Fighting against an imaginary enemy, or imagined injustices or wrongs is SCIAMACHY. Liberals, professors, rat congressits, the mediots,BLMers and the National Felon League suffer 365/24 from SCIAMACHY!
When the really oppressed,
Finally protest
Their plight, we all can see.
But our compassion is hampered
When the privileged and pampered
Decide to “take a knee”.
You fly your own jet,
And admonish me yet
To limit my use to one square
And flush once a day
And I pay and I pay
To keep you quite comfy up there.
So I ride a biCYCLE
And, dutifully reCYCLE
And control my CO2 with dread.
My face, once quite pale,
(When I try not to exhale)
Turns a more ethnic dark shade of red.
My roots start to show,
Soon everyone will know
That I’m not Irish, but Injun instead.
Perhaps that will help
escape the morass of kelp
The RED TAPE that is strangling me
Who cares about facts!
I’ll fall through the cracks,
While the world just reacts,
Chaos to the Max,
The anarchy is just SCIAMACHY.

Climate changers on going sciamachy is tiring.
It is so tempting to think of liberal-progressive-communist conspiracy theories when one considers the strange circumstances surrounding the sudden shooting death of the one true conservative on the Supreme Court, Justice Sciamachy, by a liberal associate on a liberal’s ranch in a liberal coroner’s territory.
