Rare SNL making fun of the Democrats.
SNL just isn’t what it used to be. They showed that skit on Fox, and it was so low rent.
Alert! Alert! Alert!
Implosion eminent!
Damned by faint praise....
The only thing that shall rescue the Democrat party, is that Republicans are very nearly as inept as the Democrats, and have set up their own circular firing squad.
Never forget this one from 33 years ago.

Walter Mondale the Razor Salesman
Gary Kroeger impersonates Walter Mondale selling an electric shaver before admitting that there is no point since Mondale lost the election. [Season 10, 1984]
:Note they had only done a Kroger as Mondale the week before.
The apex of SNL was when Chris Farley was on the cast.
His Matt Foley skit (with David Spade & Christina Applegate) and his awkward interview with Paul McCartney were epic.
Those were my favorite SNL years. Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, David Spade (”Buh-bye”), Tim Meadows, Rob Schneider, Kevin Nealon, Will Farrell and Cheri Oteri as the Spartan Spirits, Phil ‘Now that’s sassy!’ Hartman, and others.
I will ever understand how anyone was able to keep a straight face during the Matt Foley skit, especially Spade. It must have required superhuman discipline.
Oops, I meant: “I will never understand how.....”.
If “Hillary” had lost her balance when she reared back to pump her fist in the air — THAT would have made the skit!
Agree. Then, their downward spiral into humorless self-importance.
Sickened by becoming ‘progressive’, like so much in America.
OMG, their rich sources of material from Mean Hillary, ? Obama ?, Stylin’ Moochelle, Crazy Uncle Joe, Nancy the Cheerleader, Mad Maxine...ignored and wasted.
The McCartney skit still makes me laugh.
SNL takes a very rare poke at the DNC and it’s news. If none of the crew suddenly windup dead they might do it again . . .
in another 20 years.
I didn’t label it as news, just general chat.
I was gifted the entire 2nd season of SNL on DVD.
Some of the best comedy ever performed, IMHO.
I tried to watch last night just to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift and could not endure it.
Just horrible.
When they make fun of the Democrat party, it’s only because the all are dems and are hopeful to be given better choices next time. It’s not from a perspective of hatred, as with portrayal of Republicans. It’s like when you laugh at a buddy of yours and their foibles.
No mocking of dear leader Obama or the country’s mother Michelle...
Farley and Spade were so great together! “...in a VAN down by the RIVER!” LOL, Matt Foley got so worked up.
Gee, for some reason I feel the urge to watch ‘Tommy Boy’ this evening. :)
Yep. I haven’t watched SNL in so long that I don’t even know what their skits look like nowadays, but if they’re anywhere near as bad as the commercials, I know I’m not missing anything but bad writing and acting...with a heavy dose of sanctimony.
