Laptop Assistance - Vanity Thread

Posted on 11/13/2017 10:22:56 AM PST by MplsSteve

Last night, I was listening to music and typing an e-mail to a friend when one of our cats jumped on and ran across the keyboard.

Normally the screen runs in a horizontal view - but now since the cats messed with it, everything is vertical.

Is anyone out there aware of a function on the keyboard that I can use that'll return the screen to its normal horizontal viewing format

Rotate Screen with a Keyboard Shortcut

Hit CTRL + ALT + Up Arrow and your Windows desktop should return to landscape mode. ...
Right click on the desktop and selct Display settings.
Choose a screen to fix if you have multiple monitors attached. ...
Select Landscape from the orientation menu.
Click Apply (or OK)

Wrong.

Have a dog jump on the keyboard. What the cat messes up, a dog will fix.

You have to wonder, how can a cat hold down “ctrl” and “alt” and then press yet another key at the same time? At least, you have to wonder that while you cuss out your kitty. Your cat views you as holding “human privelege” and demands, perforce, that you adopt his/her kitty-centric viewpoint laying on its side waiting for a belly scratch.

You have been warned.

Yes. I've seen them do that. The cat digs a hole, makes a pile, covers it up, and the dog fixes it by digging up the mess. He thinks about eating it, but then decides that his own is much better.

They broke it, make them fix it.

Gosh, they’ll never learn if they don’t take responsibility for their actions.

Think
Four Paws
One Tail
Nose

All under independent control

There’s already scarcely any animal that takes its role as seriously as a cat.

There was a program that did this back in the DOS era. We put on a secretary’s PC and went to lunch. When we got back she was complaining about having a stiff neck and asked us to help turn her monitor on its side.
