This is what Hillary has been conjuring in all her trips to the woods.
What other human can a reference to a “Blob of hot rock” bring, other than the Cankled One?

I’ve lived in MA my whole life. My neighbors happily voted for Ted Kennedy, Gerry Studds, Barney Frank, Elizabeth Warren and many others. You all would be better off if MA and the rest of New England slipped into the cold Atlantic. That is my selfless opinion.

Some of the biggest earthquakes have occurred in such regions, like New Madrid and Charleston.

"... in the upper mantle about 200 kilometres (124.2 miles) below the surface, and measuring approximately 400 kilometres (248.5 miles) in diameter..."
It will take millions of years to reach the surface scientists say, and it could 'travel' to other states .. you've been warned.

Another teachable moment. Our lifetimes are ridiculously short in geologic terms. This phenomenon could possibly be not that unusual in the history of the Earth, we just have never encountered it yet.

Poor Mr Kitty hd just entered the restroom at work when the last one happened. First he thought he was having some kind of seizure. Then when he realized the building was moving - he thought a delivery truck from the gas station next door had hit the building.
Let’s just say there was one “movement” that got delayed. LOL

"Another teachable moment. Our lifetimes are ridiculously short in geologic terms. This phenomenon could possibly be not that unusual in the history of the Earth, we just have never encountered it yet." Exactly.
Humans haven't been around long enough to experience most things that happen on earth.
We've seen climate change before though.(In fact, a few times)

Apparently, these scientists are either unaware or have forgotten that there is an ancient rift valley running up through the middle of New England where the Atlantic almost started. They’re probably just detecting the plume that nearly kicked that process off, which (presumably) got superseded by the current process.

It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine!

Not a one. I work with a nice but uber liberal gal who raves and rants ans moans about global warming, while driving a gas guzzling emissions spewing clunker.
