In related news, there are offshore volcanoes active along the west coast (vocanic rock washing up onto oregon beach) and this realtime tremor map shows clumps of activity in the pacific northwest. The realtime tremors are too small to be earthquakes but show where there’s lots of little micro tremors opposite that “fracture zone” off the coast.
