Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud

Sea levels began to rise 18k years ago at the end of the last glacial period. They have risen about 135 meters since then which is an average of 7.5 millimeters per year. That is an average of 750 mm per century (29.5 inches) which is far more than the average over the last century.

From 1880 to 2000 sea level rose about 20 cm or just under 8 inches. Far less than the nearly 30 inches per century average over the last 18,000 years.

The most recent data from NASA shows a decline in sea level.

Inconvenient: NASA shows global sea level…pausing, instead of rising

This is probably the most ignorant theory ever offered by the Global Warming morons. Next they will be saying the cold spell is caused by global warming burning a hole in the atmosphere above Chicago-Milwaukee and letting the cold pour in from space.

So the extra water is compressing the magma beneath the sea beds?

Anyone want to buy a bridge?

Well, I hope you’ve learned your lesson.

All those poor crabs walking around on the deformed ocean floor and getting sore feet.

And they got lots of feet!

Mighty tasty with melted butter.

You got to love how they are always finding theoretical excuses for the models failing isn’t this further evidence though that catastrophic global warming is a fake news?

Great, then the Ocean rising scaremongering due to alleged GW is nonsense. Good news.

Sounds good to me; I was stationed out there for a few months when I was in the Corps, the seas are beautiful out there, can I bring my deep sea fishing rods?

How else will we do our in depth studies? Looking into beer glasses?

We, on second thought, that's one way...

Nah, wasn't you. Some say it was just a coincidence these reports were in the same week, but there are no coincidences . . . It was all that leaking water from that JFK Airport watermain leak. . .

Apparently, they claim in a study by Thomas Frederikse et al, the weight of the extra water caused by all those melting glaciers and icecaps is so great that it is causing the sea bed to sink.

Does this mean NYC and Miami aren't under water now as per Gore's timeline?

Perhaps these brilliant scientists can explain why, when glaciers melt, the water becomes much heavier than the ice, which was floating on top of the water and pushing it down.

Glaciers are formed on land, and slowly and continuously slide downward to the water, with big chunks falling off at the water's edge. They's when they enter the water, as icebergs.

“If the sea bed is sinking and the land is not rising,
we are in big trouble.”

What you said in humor is very correct geologically. When vast dry basins such as the Mediterranean Sea and Black Sea filled, geologically quite recently, the surrounding land masses did rise as the seabed sank due to the influx of water and weight. Pretty simple physics actually.

As you said we would be in big trouble.
