Satellite orbits decay. That puts them closer to the surface. If they aren't accounting for the decay, the "rise" may be nothing more than an lower orbit.

#11. Re why the sea levels rose in the early 80’s. Once they stopped most whale hunting, and the whale population increased, they peed more in the oceans. That’s what caused the seas to rise.
