List of Authors Who are Banned in Free Republic

I have a question to FReepers out there,and also the Moderators.

I was recently suspended from posting for several days, TWICE for the reason that I was posting the article of authors who are banned from this site.

Being suspended means you cannot even send a message to the moderator, so I was unable to ask for clarification. Had I been allowed to send a message, I would at least know the name of the author whose article was not welcome.

I learned that the article of one such writer -- C. Edmund Wright ( who used to be a poster here), who writes for the American Thinker, is not welcome in this site. All well and good, I will no longer post his articles here.

My question is this -- WHICH OTHER AUTHOR(s) is/are banned from this site? I certainly do not want to be suspended again for not knowing who is unwelcome?

Is there a link somewhere in FR that gives a list of authors who are not welcome?

That’s interesting. How is it hard to simply say your peace and reply no more?

It’s not like there’s a terrible guy in the next door apartment whom you can’t “extricate” yourself from without a face-to-face confrontation.

This site is owned and we must abide by the privately contrived rules of its owner. Still, we are free to come or leave as we wish.

If authors are banned, it is the right of the owner to ban them and conduct business as he pleases. We are free to participate or not. Indeed, we are free to contribute our money or thoughts (as long as we follow the “house rules”) as we please.

The owner has the right to shape the site however he pleases. We may agree or disagree with his design plan but we don’t have the right to direct his plan.

Looks like he wan’t a Trump supporter, but haven’t seen anything that would get him banned.

I don't recall mentioning at all that FR doesn't have a right to control their own website, so I am not sure why you thought it necessary to lecture me on this subject.

I only mentioned a banned author and the bad experience I had with him.

Everything is Russian propaganda these days. It’s gotten ridiculous in with that claim. Even if the Russians were so inclined it would require more people than they have to generate all the data being claimed.

All MSM in the USA is DNC/Deep state propaganda yet it’s allowed to be posted. It is embarrassing when someone links an independent writer/investor here and the post is deleted or ruined as blog pimping yet NYT is discussed as real news.

I’m no zero hedge fan but I just don’t get it I guess. I would ban all the MSM that we know are deep state assets. I expect we will find that they were planting and paying for “investigative reports” before it’s over. Probably using off shore funds also.

It would be helpful that a suspended person could still contact admin to ask why, when they are suspended and have no idea why it occurred. People can be suspended for reasons that are totally unclear to them and have no way to contact anyone about it once suspended.

The truth is an account can be suspended for any reason whatsoever under heaven, and it is easier to perform divination using the entrails of a chicken to get the reason why than it is to get an explanation directly from the mod.

I've had my account suspended even during periods where I hadn't posted for a couple of weeks due to being busy. I've had my account suspended, unsuspended, suspended, unsuspended, several times in a single day, and even throughout a whole week, without any explanation of what was going on--and certainly no posts in the interim that could have caused it.

I tend to think it was a couple of mods fighting over me, but who knows?

I just shrug it off and enjoy the forum. We're practically the wild west already considering the type of politically incorrect posts we make here which are NOT allowed virtually anywhere else on the internet except for the seediest of locales.
