So why can’t they telecommute? Why do they have to be there in person? They should be in their office from 9 until 5 everyday if WE need to speak with them. You know, We the People! If the absolutely have to go to Washington they should fly coach. Someone might have some questions, it would be a town meeting in the sky.
Except if the Congress critter was three sheets to the wind. Back in the 80s when I was in and out of D.C. two or three times a month a certain well-known Missouri elected official would be on the Friday evening TWA flight to STL from National (as it was known back then). He was in coach but I don’t think he was doing much of the people’s business on the way back.
