I say sorry to the nation, McCain is one of my biggest regrets... I voted for him the very first time I was legal to vote. SICK that he is still there 32 years later, I have spent over 12 trying to get him back out.
I took my first computer classes at OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) in about 1976-7... would have been about 11 or 12 It was a whole room by itself and there was about 20 terminals connected outside in a separate room for our class. That would have been a mainframe right??
I also trained on an intergraph cad station, that also seems like it was a mainframe system still in the late 80’s, a few years before I self learned Autocadd r11 when it came out.
Amazing what I paid for the first 386 with a math/co... seems like about 1300 or so. 486 had just came out. Then like $500+ soon after for the 8mb ram chip upgrade... SILLY.
I have 32gb now, in a 12 year old machine LOL.

My first computer class was at U of Oregon in ‘78 and I really enjoyed OMSI - and the par-three golf course by it. Always tried to hit the planetarium with a few extra balls brought just for the purpose...
Big computer in a room, many computer terminals for data entry.
To pass the class you needed to show competence using the ‘Zipper’ program.
The Zipper program took a ‘letter’ and a series of ‘names and addresses’ and ‘zipped’ them into a custom document.
When I taught software in the University system I would point out while demonstrating MS Word’s ‘Mail Merge’ that in 20 minutes: ‘you all learned what it took Me a full term in college to learn.’

Somehow, the Trump camp has the impossible brewing with SK and NK working together. That is amazing and must surely have deep state actors and rogue elements of intel agencies (shadow govt) apoplectic.
There are other things as well that are startling. I’ll leave those for later.
