Disclosure: I’m NOT a climate scientist, meteorologist, oceanographer, or anything similar.
Ok, here’s a very “out there” idea that just occurred to me....
Q said watch the water.
I have read in various discussions of climate change that the CO2 level FOLLOWS temperature change, does not cause temperature change. Many of these articles also say that OCEAN temperature is a much bigger driver of weather/climate/temperature.
So.... what if some nation/group has figured out how to manipulate the ocean and thus the weather? What if they have been able to cause major storms? Probably not with any precision, but enough to cause disruption. The way I might guess it could work would be to stir up cold water from the depths and push it toward the surface.
Remember when people jokingly accused Carl Rove of controlling the weather? What if there was a grain of truth to that?
I realize this is pretty tinfoil-hatty. But I thought I’d throw it out there as a possibility.
Tin foil or not I gotta say I really like your tagline.
It is expanded thinking... i would NOT discount it... they have been working on controlling weather for years now... a few big nuclear powered heaters could eventually push ocean temps up i would think

It’s called Geo Engineering and it’s not tin foil hat stuff - I recalled an article that said something about the military owning the weather in 2025. Here’s a selection of articles:

In addition, the US Government, commissioned a study on abrupt climate change. The computer that I had book marked the study on crashed, so I don’t have it. However, what I recall is that they began the report by laying aside the debate on Carbon Dioxide.
The key to understanding abrupt change had to do with salinity, of certain ocean currents. Such events have happened in the past, and could in the future. Now I understood what they were saying when I read it, but I can’t remember enough to explain anymore than what I have written.
I don’t remember what Govt. Department arranged for the study, but I don’t think it was FEMA.
So take of the tin foil and do some more research and digging, cause if this kind of info is already released, you can bet your bipee, that they are decades further advance.
Just as they are likely very advanced with their AI and Transhumanism, as well as cloning and human/animal DNA experiments.
