Sorry, but he was actually at the high school campus when the shooting occurred. But he wasn’t in the Freshmen building where the actual shooting occurred — the ONLY building where it occurred.
Hogg has given several conflicting stories about this. In his earliest pronouncement he said he was at home when he heard the news of the shooting and grabbed his camera and ran to the school. By the time he got there, it was all over.
Something struck me as strange today, House. The ‘culinary arts’ teacher was on the tv for a few interviews. She said that she kept her door open and pulled kids in. Then I ran across a tape of Hogg, saying he/they told their teacher to close the door “after the first gun report and before the firealarm rang”. I thought Hogg was in that culinary class? But how did he get home and on his bike, which he said in another interview?

As the sound of gunfire echoed around her, unsure where the shooter was and hearing from students a second shooter may also be on campus, her heart pulsed as she crouched by the door grabbing pupils as they ran past.
And none of his friends were killed, depending on the time of day. He claims 2 or 3 or 4 of his sister's friends were killed.
The media and Hogg himself call him a "child." He's 17.
Many years ago in a different life, I taught in a high school full of fantastic students. It was an insult to call a 17- or 18-year-old a child. None of them saw themselves as a "child." Neither did I. For Hogg to call himself a "child" is the pandering of a scam artist.
He said in an interview he was not at school that day but got on his bicycle and went to school when he heard about the shooting.
