“The Danish personal registration number, commonly referred to as the CPR number, reached the milestone of 50 years since its introduction on Monday. “

Or is it (my view)?:

On Monday, the Danish personal registration number, commonly referred to as the CPR number, reached the milestone of 50 years since its introduction.

I think my version avoids the possible misleading idea that the CPR number had its introduction on Monday.
