FB doesn’t have ads, does it? How does it make billions? Other than selling info?

sponsored content doesn’t look like ads but it is. The Recipe video plays your local supermarket ad before it plays etc.
I once had a FB page, rarely used, and did not like the way they operated, deleted all info first, then the account, and never looked back. I thought FB was too personal, and I knew people on FB. That was years ago. I am on Twitter...however, I limit my info there.
