Is this the ultimate long-term goal of Facebook? To create a social media platform that will force people to become politically compliant ‘good citizens’ who espouse the same politically acceptable ideology?

Shun, ridicule, threats and loss of livelihood.
I think FB is already well down the road in that direction.
During the push for gay “marriage” people who didn’t post the symbol for it were shunned.
Liberal political views are spewed and in your face all the time, but don’t dare to post anything conservative or you will be attacked.
There are probably other examples, but I was off FB by the time most of this was happening.
Facebook Google Twitter Youtube Netflix Oracle Cisco they were all at Obama’s tech Dinner and they already have all the data. I’m staying till everyone is red pilled or it is returned to what it was intended to be; a place to connect with friend and family. Besides in my cynical mind I think they want me to leave cause that is just another way to censor my opinion...
But what if Facebook or some yet to be designed social media platform is designed by the government to 'make it easier for people to interact with the government' and it becomes required every 'citizen' must have an account?
Such a site could monitor everyones' every thought and action. Who they associate with and their political views.
Right now Facebook is in its infancy.
Imagine what it could become if it's allowed to go unregulated OR worse, regulated by people with an agenda.
People in tech and the government are many steps ahead of us.
We need to know what they're working on and their intentions.
