I have to say that there is a bit of a difference between college sports and pro sports.
Most college kids would never think of talking back to their coach (especially Saban who’d go Darth Vader on them!) or undercutting them in a public way.
OTOH, the guys running their mouths are multi-millionaires and sadly enough, they seem to run the show in many pro franchises. The coaches and especially the owners seem to take a back seat to these prima donnas.
Until that happens, this sort of thing, especially in the NBA and NFL, will continue to get worse.
