Happy Sunday all, hope you had a great Independence Day week...
Last week’s lineup was fantastic, this week looks a little weak...Fred Allen is no Jack Benny...Family Theater is usually good...I’m weak on sci fi...Philip Marlowe is a B show...and can’t remember much of Mr. Keen, Tracer of Lost Persons (but it’s a great name)...
How you doing!?
Hi, Vision! We’ve heard Mr. Keen before. I think I remember it being a decent show.
Anything new with you?
I like OTR Sherlock Holmes with Basil Rathbone and Nigel, Bruce
The saint with Vincent Price
Those old time shows are awesome !
Basil Rathbone’s work is great.
We stayed home on the 4th and listened to the war zone sounds in the neighborhood, even though fireworks aren’t supposed to be allowed within the city limits. :-D
Okay, cool! Thanks, Vision!
Family Theater (398) Summer Replacement
Air Date December 1, 1954
Plot: “Summer Replacement”. A behind-the-scenes story about a well-known radio show preparing to switch to television...with not all of the original cast. The program features an on-target parody of, “Mr. District Attorney.”
Actors:
Desi Arnaz
George Crowell (announcer)
Una Merkel
Marvin Miller
Harry Zimmerman (composer, conductor)”
Nice, thanks!
