Planned Parenthood is panicking over the U.S. Supreme Court and the future of abortion on demand.
Our constitutional right to abortion is seriously at risk, said Dawn Laguens, vice president of the abortion chain, in an email to supporters Tuesday.
Laguens portrayed President Donald Trump and his Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh as women haters because of their conservative stance and opinions against Planned Parenthoods radical pro-abortion agenda.
On Monday, Trump chose Kavanaugh to fill moderate Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedys seat. If confirmed, Kavanaugh could swing the court to a conservative majority and be a deciding opinion on vital issues like abortion restrictions and Roe v. Wade.
Kavanaugh has served on the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for D.C. for more than a decade, where he developed an extensive record of protecting religious liberty and enforcing restrictions on abortion. Pro-life leaders believe he would do the same on the Supreme Court.
Planned Parenthood spurred its supporters to action Tuesday, warning:
Brett Kavanaugh has a dangerous track record of trying to block women from getting access to birth control and abortion care. Just last year, he ruled to block an undocumented woman who recently entered the United States from obtaining an abortion. He also ruled in favor of bosses denying their employees birth control coverage based on their personal religious objections.
Now, President Trump wants Kavanaughs extreme views on the Supreme Court. Based on this record, we can safely assume that he will make good on Trumps promise to only appoint justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade. We must stop Kavanaugh this is a fight we cant afford to lose.
The largest abortion group in America, Planned Parenthood aborts approximately 320,000 unborn babies every year. Abortion is a huge money-maker for the non-profit. Its most recent annual report showed a record income of $1.46 billion, with about half a billion dollars coming from taxpayers.
SIGN THE PETITION: Vote to Confirm Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh
Planned Parenthood urged abortion activists to call their U.S. Senators and tell them to oppose Kavanaughs confirmation. If confirmed, he could be a deciding opinion on the future of Planned Parenthoods taxpayer funding and its business aborting unborn babies.
The Supreme Court is the last line of defense against ideologues who are determined to see a national ban on safe, legal abortion Laguens said.
National pro-life leaders have expressed high hopes for Kavanaugh and the future of unborn babies rights. They praised his excellent record of protecting life and religious liberty.
In a recent, high-profile case, Kavanaugh agreed with the Trump administration that the government should not have to help facilitate abortions for illegal immigrant minors. He also ruled against the Obamacare HHS mandate that forced Hobby Lobby, Little Sisters of the Poor and other Christian-run businesses and organizations to fund drugs that may cause abortions in their employee health care plans. He recently upheld religious free speech in a case involving the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (the Metro) as well.
Didn’t they want Merrick Garland to end the 2nd Amendment?
Not that he can, being a mortal man and all, but I know they wanted him to try.
Seems like they should want their rights to be built upon sturdier ground rather than the whims of man.
I truly believe many of these people would rather repeal the 13th Amendment - nay, the entire Constitution - before they'd be OK with repealing Roe.
a wife and two daughters, no wonder he’s a woman hater LOL
only in perverse world can someone think they have the right to take an innocent human life. And make me pay for it
Blah Blah Blah. The same drearily predictable boilerplate they would say no matter who Trump nominated. Background noise, designed to gin up donations and nothing more.
If only liberal paranoid delusions about our judicial candidates were actually true, that would be a wonderful thing, eh?
Yep ... hates women so much that he married one and they had kids together. Such hatred.
“Planned Parenthood is panicking”
Over the thought of losing $500 million in taxpayer funding every year.
Planned Parenthood can be political without losing their funding but others lose their tax-exempt status for being political. Pays to back a democratic platform!
Odd that a "woman hater" would love his wife and daughters so much.
If I want Planned Homicide opinions, I’ll get it from our cats’ litter box...
