This will be the 51st State, Ecoland. No humans will be allowed to live on Ecoland, but since it will be a state, it will have 2 Senators. The citizens from Hawaii will be allowed to choose the candidates for these seats and, of course, will be the only ones allowed to vote in Ecoland elections.
People out for a two hour cruise ended up there-—a jovial young guy in a white sailor’s hat, a wealthy well dressed couple in their 50s, a starlet....hey got there first.

Actually, this above that I just posted doesn’t make all that much sense, since the show never implied that the island they departed from was the closest one to where they ended up.
