A friend of mine had the sweetest, gentlest pit bull ...until it ate a chunk of her cat.
A friend of mine acquired a pit bull puppy six months ago. The person who gave it to her told her it was a “French Bulldog” puppy. I looked it over and told her that they had lied to her. I allowed her to bring it to my house when it was 3.5 months old, to get a look at its behavior and conformation. Not good, this one was aggressive, and had been taken from its mother at 5 weeks, missing crucial socialization time. She would not get rid of it, and has an old cat. She will not listen to anything I have to say about her decision.
All I can do is wait until the inevitable. I cannot trust this friend anymore, because she now identifies with the pit bull, as do so many of their owners, and values it more than humans, and certainly more than her self-respect. She was hiding the dog from one landlord, and has lied to another to get the dog into an apartment.
This will not end well.
