I say it’s because they are both commies. If you are old enough to remember - blue WAS the color of the Republicans for many years. I do believe when the Rems were taken over by socialism, the party leaders and the media changed it and took it over so they wouldn’t appear *so* communist to middle America. It was all in the plan.

The “press” used to alternate the blue and red between the incumbents and the challengers.

After the 1980 election, where Reagan turned the nation “red”, the press decided that it was a “most opportune moment” to stop the alternation of colours and permanently assign the COMMUNIST colour to the Republicans, and assign blue to the demonrats.

Yet another example of the subtle manipulation of the American voter.

“They” switched it, apparently because confusion by changing references, definitions and standards in all things is their way, leading to our wicked self-deception and then our woeful self-destruction.

Tim Russert was the first person I heard calling the right red and the left blue and that ruse has been maintained by “both” sides ever since. Why?

Before then, left was always red, and not just in terms of political ideology, but left/port is red in international navigation and collision warning for ships and aircraft.

Left/Port = Red
Right/Starboard = Green

Just more of their up is down, down is up, wrong is right, right is wrong confusion that is SOP in our times.
