I'd read it two or three time and held it pretty much same as you.
...although over the past five or ten years (and particularly now) I've come to view it as an observation of existing conditions with a logical extension to the year 1984 as a culmination of the growth of "government" Orwell was seeing in the late 40's. (Although I doubt that Orwell could have even imagined that his "boot in the face" would come from Facebook posts and "Likes".
I just ordered this book...I hope it is everything everyone says it is...
I do know this: If Mueller keeps going after Roger Stone and who he has ties with, Mueller might end up in the East River wearing Cement Shoes...ahem....
