Georgia House Speaker David Ralston demanded that state Rep. Jason Spencer resign after he yelled racial slurs and exposed himself in an episode of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Showtime series that aired late Sunday.
Spencer dropped his pants and repeatedly used the n-word in the episode of “Who Is America?” Spencer had earlier threatened legal action to prevent the network from airing footage of him.
In a statement shortly after the episode aired, Ralston said Spencer’s actions and language in the video are “reprehensible.”
“Representative Spencer has disgraced himself and should resign immediately,” said Ralston. “Georgia is better than this.”
Other Republican leaders also swiftly condemned Spencer. Secretary of State Brian Kemp removed the lawmaker from his list of endorsements ahead of Tuesday’s GOP runoff for governor and urged him to apologize. And Gov. Nathan Deal called his language “appalling and offensive.”

There are no excuses for stupid. Fortunately his constituents saw him for what he is in the primary and sent him packing.
It’s being invaded by hipsters, carpet bagging liberals from up North and the West coast. It’s allowing those very same types to take over school boards and get hired as school superintendents because they have a fancy resume with all the right schools.
It’s happening because guys like Nathan Deal and his RINO minions, would rather have an army of liberals move to the state to work at the Facebook data center or 50,000 move in to work for Bezos. All while giving away taxpayer money.

The word does have negative connotations - so I can understand objections to its use in public and in private, and to people imagining the word in their heads.
Setting that aside, can you remember the last time an elected official was removed from office for using the Lord’s name in vain?
Despite the fact that Borat and his ilk are despicable human trash, this guy was thinking with the part of his anatomy he exposed.

I couldn’t agree more. Who gets away with it and who doesn’t is immaterial. Anyone running for political office who engages in that kind of crap deserves to fail.
This was a *very* sophisticated set-up.
They use fraud, lies, and mind-games to get the footage they want. They may have 8 hours of footage to get the five second clip.
As a hypothetical:
After six hours of working with these people, ostensibly on a project to cure cancer, they might say, we need someone to say the n-word, just for a sound test.
Then they have what they want.
You have to be very, very sophisticated and on top of your game to avoid this sort of problem.
He thought he was participating in a film about how public officials can respond to terrorism and was enacting a scene under direction from the Borat stooges. Since he had actually been issued death threats for proposing such things as banning the burqa on Georgia state property, he thought it was legit. Sadly, he was incredibly gullible to the whole proposition and fell into a trap set by the leftist hucksters who pulled off this sting. Now Borat is going to present this as “normal” American behavior. Someone needs to pull a similar stunt on Borat.

RINOs ... because they preach all the right BS, but will sell out their own mother to make a buck and then retreat to home, to their gated communities in Sugarloaf, St Ives and Reynolds Plantation. And, they use their insider knowledge of all the developers plans to profit from all of it.
Liberal Hipsters ... Tell you they love everyone, all immigrants and refugees, and all are welcome. But, they live in the whitest, most exclusive neighborhoods in the cities. Think everything is grand. Will call the cops on the first brown person that walks down the sidewalk. And raise holy hell when things aren’t going their way. And, there’s usually a lawyer or two in the mix that will do all the legal work, pro bono, since they’re protecting their turf.
