A base 1965 Chevy C-10 pickup was 187” long.
By comparison, a ‘65 Impala was about 213” long.

I’ve had several of those little pickups (S-10, D50, two Colorado’s & a small Nissan). The way I drive and haul stuff, I seldom got up to 20 mpg. More like 15 or so. The Nissan with a full load at 65 mph would get 5 - 7 mpg.
My newest is a 2018 full size F150 that gets 20 easy, it’s comfortable, hauls larger loads and has all the power I’d ever want.
Never again will I have a small truck.

I’d like get a Suzuki Samurai. Those little jeeps you could get in the 80s. It’d be a great little all-weather commuter and desert vehicle.

I had a Toyota SR-5 longbed, loved that truck , small trucks today are not small.

I loved my mid 1980s Chevy S-10. It had 176,000 miles on it when I finally got rid of it.
