What the? If the thing is only 20 light years away, why is there no photo? Because a photograph of it would show the point-spread function of the telescope/detector used to photograph it. That, along with spectra, would be useful to scientists but not to mass media.

One light year, the distance light travels in a year, at its speed of 186,000 miles per second, works out to about 5.9 TRILLION miles.
