So many golden ages, so much brilliance from which to choose. In culling from the "60 Greatest" lists we've compiled during our 60th-anniversary year, we shook things up, blending drama, comedy and other genres to salute the shows with the biggest cultural impact and most enduring influence.

Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beaver.
Never watched The Wire or Breaking Bad either. Don’t feel I’ve missed anything.
Fawlty Towers
Rockford was one of the best ever made.
Also, the first time Lucy made fun of Ricky's accent, all hell would break loose. The network would issue an apology, half of the writers would be fired, and the other half ordered to attend sensitivity training. The show might even be cancelled. It wouldn't matter that Desi Arnaz was the executive producer, and approved all of the scripts.
I’m really aging myself here: Howdy Doody, Winky Dink and You, Super Circus, Kukla, Fran and Ollie, The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, Sky King, Captain Midnight, Fury, Andy’s Gang, Lassie...the original with Tommy Rettig, Buster Crabbe in Captain Gallant of the Foreign Legion, Topper, The Millionaire, My Little Margie, The Ann Sothern Show, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, The Cisco Kid, Your Show of Shows, Ed Sullivan, The Perry Como Show, Red Skeleton, The Ed Wynn Show, The Milton Berle Show, The Bob Cummings Show, Mr. Peepers, The Real McCoys, Our Miss Brooks...etc., etc., etc.
I was just getting ready to mention Northern Exposure. Fleischman and O’Connell and the quirky townsfolk. It came on after SNL in my market and was always worth staying up for.
Ren & Stimpy definitely deserves a spot. It was pioneering in its sheer absurdism but what I appreciate about it is that, unlike a lot of modern outré cartoons, it was never mean spirited.
Forgot about “I Remember Mama”. We used to watch that all the time.
Due South.
If you’re talking cartoons, SpongeBob Squarepants should be on the list.
If I see the old SpongeBob episodes, I have to sit down and watch. The newer episodes aren’t very good, though.
Never watched Seinfeld. As an adult, I never liked sit-coms, and watched very little of the network shows. That changed after I retired in 2003, but as of the past couple of years, I’m back to watching less and less of cable programming.
I pretty much watch KDramas now.
I haven’t seen anything on TV that is better than say, “My Love From The Star”, or some of the other KDramas I’ve watched.
I liked Bewitch, especially Marion Lorne who played Aunt Clara and Agnes Moorehead as Endora. Marion Lorne starred in Mr. Peepers which we watched regularly as kids.
I like mystery series, and download most of those, along with documentaries from British torrent sites. Nobody does a mystery like the Brits.
BBC does amazing nature shows.
I’m surprised not a single person mentioned The Brady Bunch. Also Happy Days. Two iconic shows.
The Benny Hill Show
You can love cable or hate it for its raunchiness and trendiness, but it can go places the old broadcast network TV just couldn't go.
Just started watching a Brit comedy from 70s called Mind Your Language. Interesting because they make fun of every culture including muslimes.
I much prefer Better Call Saul to “Breaking Bad”...perhaps because we know what the end result will be and love watching his transformation.
That said...a few of my favorites:
Seinfeld
Cheers (w/Shelly Long)
Frazier
Better Call Saul
Dead Like Me (a 2-year cable series...and arguably the best of the lot)
