There’s been chatter that Sasse believes he can run as a third party for President. Arrogant snob that he is.
Sasse reminds me of Cruz, a lot. (Although Cruz, humbled, after an embarrassingly long pout, has shut up and seemed to grow up, I hope.)
Sasse, like Cruz, comes onto the scene to be seen grooming his own brilliance and brains in public, like a Persian cat, all sober and serious, causing a heart or two to flutter for his dash, and then, along comes Trump the Magnificent, who exposes them for their smallness, hands them their own hat, to hold their vaunted brains, and who reminds them they are among the very smallest of fish fry, simple rookies, out of place in the real world of hard knocks, and at best, demotes them both to stage scenery.
