Neil Young came to LA in 1966 for the expressed purpose of “finding Steven Stills” in a 1953 converted hearse. He was at a stop light on Sunset when Steve and somebody saw the hearse and said HEY! That’s Neil Young and they turned around and chased him down and history was made.
At least that’s the story. Neil is also from a military intelligence background because, of course he is. Everybody in Laurel Canyon was a MILINT brat.
You sure about the Neil Young military intelligence background? Maybe you were kidding. He’s Canadian and still retains his citizenship. His dad co-hosted Hockey Night in Canada and Neil’s been a musician his whole life.
