Megyn Kelly’s 9 a.m. Today show hour has been canceled, multiple sources confirm to PEOPLE.
The news comes just 48 hours after she received immense backlash for her controversial remarks about blackface earlier this week.
“They’re contacting the staff and reassigning everyone today. Everyone’s being told that they still have a home here, but it won’t be on Megyn’s show,” one source says. “They haven’t made an official announcement about the show, but everyone knows what it means when they’re being moved somewhere else. The show is clearly over.”
Two additional sources insist that Kelly has not been fired from NBC completely (and she herself has not been told the network’s final decision), but her 9 a.m. show “is most likely over.”

HER 3 year price tag (reportedly $69 million) is already “sunk costs”.... so if everyone else is being re-assigned within NBC then they are saving little or nothing, in fact the re-org is probably costing them money. I have no use for her, but to sideline her while they are still paying out her guaranteed contract seems like spite, not an act of business cost savings. I seriously doubt they will get any better ratings in that hour. This is simply Leftard NBC execs posturing and venting.
One way to open a slot on the schedule is to dump that unwatchable bore Cucker.

He stars in a current NBC show called The Good Place. It is on TONIGHT.
They’re not weenies, like typical leftists, they’re cutthroats. If you’re not a fellow kool-aid drinker, you’re evil and you will be persecuted on every flimsy pretext they can concoct. If you are one of them, then sexual harassment, adultery, humor aimed at protected groups, etc. aren’t actual sins anymore. Just like being a Christian in a Muslim country. You aren’t afforded the same human rights as the majority because you’re considered less than human.
I tend to agree with you. I am not a fan of Kelly, nor of NBC and its slanted agendas.
But I become more disturbed every day that the MSM and social media have decided it is their job to tell us what we are allowed to think.
I think Megyn was trying to have a legitimate conversation about “dressing up” and “costumes”, etc., and that she was shot down for even questioning the whole “cultural appropriation” theme.
But I also cannot understand, if she walks away with $50,000,000 or more, WHY work? Why not stay home and be with your kids and family? She really has nothing to prove any more, as far as her “career” goes, IMHO.
I despise Megyn, but those who are howling about a comment wondering whether blackface is racist should bark in Hell for eternity.
Some employees have a lower threshold of termination than others. If she’d been getting big ratings, NBC would have let her apologize.
Actual blackface is one thing, but simply changing your skin color with makeup to resemble a character is not remotely the same thing as “blackface.” Ted Danson actually was doing blackface there.
Just hilarious how if you say a man SHOULDN’T dress up as a woman, you’re a bigot. But if you say a white person SHOULD dress up as a black person, you’re a bigot then too. There is zero intellectual consistency on the left. The idea that nothing but how they “feel” at any given moment matters is absolutely stomach-churning.
