I like the look - hated when they went to the previously Dress Blues as regular wear. The interesting thing in this new/old look is the officer wearing the branch & rank insignia on the shirt under the uniform blouse. I guess this means the blouse can be taken off for regular wear as a Class B uniform, something you could not do with the old poplin shirt under the Army Green blouse. It was OK when they came out with the grey/green shirt with epaulets for a rank sleeve.
I think they are sharp.
Of course, the IDF (in whose reserves I remain) basically copied US/British WWII uniforms for its ceremonial uniforms and we are too bound by tradition to ever change anything, so of course I approve.
I actually own one, but can’t say I’ve ever had much occasion to wear it. Always stuck with flight suit. Benefits of being a pilot.
What is the Branch of service badge the female officer is wearing?
When I was on active duty, we were surveyed numerous times about uniforms. Everybody I know said, “Bring back the pinks and greens”. Of course, that was 1986. Takes time and numerous uniform disasters.
Now we’re talking. That is hands down, the sharpest US Army uniform we’ve ever had.
Then again, I’m an Army brat from the early fifties, so I’m biased ;-)
