Washington (AFP) - The White House correspondents' dinner will break with tradition next year and forgo a comedian as its featured speaker, opting instead for a historian best known for his biographies of Alexander Hamilton and two former US presidents.
The decision came after stand-up Michelle Wolf delivered a controversial star turn this year -- mercilessly sending up White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, who was seated on the dais with her.
So on April 27, 2019, the guest speech at the black tie gala will come from historian and biographer Ron Chernow, who is best known for his book about Alexander Hamilton, which inspired Lin-Manuel Miranda's hit musical.

In view of the lame stream media’s insidious support of the whining acosta, the 90% negative reporting of President Trump’s administration, I respectfully request President Trump to terminate the White House correspondents’ dinner indefinitely.
So, instead of a “comedic” attack, it will be a “serious” attack.
When was there a “comedian” there in the recent past? Last one I can recall is Rich Little.

Amazing how the press has managed to move their respectability from “extremely low” to “bottom of the septic tank”.

He decides not to go, so these clowns can now joke among themselves and show just how isolated and elitist they are to the average American.

the comic slot has been taken for Jim Acosta adoration speeches. The new spar-ticus.
The award shows get lower and lower ratings, and the Fake News Dinner alters its format. Too much winning!
