Is that contained in saw palmetto?
Sugar is in everything we eat. Our bodies need sugar to function. Plus, a lot of very healthy foods contain high levels of sugar, like many fruits and some veggies.
Uh...whenyou see others die and they dont come back. Is that proof enuf?
I’ve heard the pros and cons of avoiding sugar and starch. The jury is out with me, although I’m convinced you can be harmed more BY sugar consumption than a lack of it.

Not true! Except perhaps the part about fruits being good for you. You can avoid sugars and carbs and eat all sorts of vegetables (just not corn, grains or rice), but you are right, fruits are kept to a minimum. Sugar is most definitely NOT in everything we eat.
Also, I’ve never had a PSA test, so I cannot say definitively I don’t have PC, but I have experienced intervals where I do not urinate as strongly as I once did. During these periods I don’t have bad symptoms such as needing to urinate frequently or discomfort, so It just seems like mild case of enlargement. But I can tell you that nettle did help some, but more to the point of replying to the post above, I can say definitively (although it’s personal anecdotal) that whenever I’m on a low carb diet, my stream is as easy and strong as when I was 19 years old. So surgar/carbs also seem to affect enlargement. That’s my 2 cents.
That depends on whether they self-identify as “dead”.
My uncle recently completed Proton Therapy treatment for his prostate cancer at UMBC. It was very successful and based on my conversations with him, should I encounter the problem myself down the road (it does run in our family) I will seek the same treatment. There aren’t a large number of places offering this kind of service so you may need to do some travel for it.

Look into Proton Therapy.
“Proton therapy for prostate cancer is a treatment option that involves using a (highly) focused ray of proton particles to destroy cancerous tissues. The treatment is capable of delivering (very) precise, high doses of radiation to accurately target cancer cells without causing damage to healthy tissue surrounding the prostate.” https://protons.com/proton-treatments/prostate-cancer
Centers are widely scattered but it is the most focused radiation treatment available with almost 0 side effects. Outpatient treatment. Walk in and walk out in less than an hour.
Keep an eye on a new blood test called the ISO PSA test. It will come on the market hopefully next year. This test will eliminate the need of over 50% of all biopsies. The blood test results will show: either cancer or no cancer. And if cancer, it will show if it is an aggressive or slow growing cancer.
I had a biopsy when my PSA was tested twice and grew higher really fast and ended up at 18.
I chose a combination ADT hormone treatment and radiation treatment and PSA is down to 0.17. Side effects are manageable. It seems this option is becoming more frequently prescribed.
With my last blood test it was 8.3 and I'm having a biopsy tomorrow morning.
I am nearly 60. I fully empty my bladder with a good stream and no interruption at 6:00AM every morning. I eat lots of fiber and have an easy bowel movement that empties my colon around 7:00AM each day. Now, if I could just get up before 8:00AM, all would be great!
I slightly misspoke about sugar. No sugar is not explicitly in everything we eat, but carbs are, which are converted to sugar. Again, without some sugar the body would die very quickly. It’s call “blood glucose.”
I’ve checked out the gamut of low-carb/low-sugar diets and almost all of them require or highly recommend dietary supplements because what’s cut out of the diet also cuts out a lot of nutrients we need. Grains are beneficial for MANY nutrients, particularly B vitamins, minerals and fiber. Cutting them out completely, as many low-carb diets do, leaves a nutrition void.
If radiation is an option, my father had it in 1996 at age 67 and lived until 2016. I hope everything goes well for you. Regards.
Proton Therapy works. Targeted radiation with fewer side effects. Just a suggestion to look into.
Thank you. Appreciating ALL of the feedback I’m getting.
Depends on your age
56.
Best wished for you. Let me know how it turns out. Biopsies aren’t fun but aren’t as bad as you think after you get done.

Nope nope nope.
Sorry, I don’t mean to hijack a prostate thread, but since I am contributing to a side topic about the possible benefits of avoiding sugar & carb, at least for enlargement issues, I can speak from experience and research that you are not correct.
I have been low carb for over a month. I take no supplements. Yesterday I had sausage and beef meat sauce over spaghetti squash. This is an example of just one meal. Spaghetti squash provides plenty of B vitamins, among other vitamins and minerals.
It is NOT true that you need to have a glucose metabolism to survive/thrive. In fact, with the epidemic of diabetes growing, it’s increasingly obvious that constant consumption of sugars/carbs is causing chronic insulin fatique, and people were not intended to live this way. Human beings picked fruits during small parts of the year. For most of the year, they ate fresh meats, as well as cured and smoked meats, foraged for nuts as well as harvesting/drying them for storage, dried some vegetables as well as pickling many others, and turned fruit into wine (which turns the sugar from the fruit into alcohol BTW, low sugar), and a whole lot more that infrequently involved carbs. When people did encounter sugars, insulin was there to help them store it, for survival, as fat on their body, which was rare, so obesity was hardly a problem.
Thanks, Bump for later reading.
And yes, the body MUST have sugar. Let your blood glucose go below 40 and you're comatose, soon to be dead. That sugar comes from somewhere, and we don't photosythesize.
