Like many, I was expecting a different outcome from today's sentencing hearing for General Flynn.
The wretched history of the case, combined with revelations of recent days exposing the disgraceful way General Flynn was set up by the likes of Comey, McCabe, Strzok and Yates, gave many of us high expectations that by now, General Flynn would be a free man.
However, I forgot a lesson that I explained in a recent article, explaining POTUS Trump's logic in delaying declassification : don't move against your enemies, when they still have a voice.
To his credit, Judge Emmett Sullivan didn't forget that lesson.
Judge Sullivan knows General Flynn is innocent of the crime in his guilty plea. BUT he also knows that while rogue cop Mueller is weak, he still has a voice.
The best solution? Throw the General a lifeline, while boxing Mueller in and tying him to a weakening hand.

Mueller as Hostage-Taker
Here's a scenario that explains Sullivan's position : a rogue cop (Mueller) entered his court, holding a pistol with two bullets loaded in the chamber (Logan Act / FARA violation charges), to an innocent man's (General Flynn's) head.
The cop's threat? 'If you throw this case out, I will pull the trigger.'
The pistol? It's old and never used before : let's call it a Logan (FARA model).
What would you do, if you were the judge?
Again, Judge Sullivan knows that Flynn is innocent of the crime the General admitted to, in his guilty plea.
The Judge also knows that Flynn’s plea deal has been coerced by Mueller. It’s dodgy trash.

This judge is going to throw the book at Flynn. This is a guy that on one day calls a decorated 3-star general a traitor in open court. Then the next day rules that UN laws supersede the US constitution.
Yeah, 4D chess, blah, blah...

I need to hear the ‘virtual’ sound of a pump shotgun racking in a round from Trump’s DoJ to go after the REAL collusion in the election of 2016. The entire cabal needs to be up against a wall getting handcuffed. This is the group that met in the UK, the 5-Eyes conspirators, Brennan, Yates, Comey, Soetoro, Steele, Perkin-Coie et al.

Yes I'm convinced he's either an idiot or a committed ideologue (could be both i suppose...). Either way he should not be on the bench, or any position of power.

However, Rudy Giuliani sees a bright spot according to someone who overheard him in a restaurant:
"This is the best thing that could’ve happened — who in their right mind would want to cooperate with Mueller now!’ with a big chuckle, obviously referring to the [Michael] Flynn sentencing debacle.”
Also entering into Flynn’s calculus to take the plea deal or not is the threat that Mueller made to Flynn to go after Flynn’s son.

Don’t worry, everything is under control.
People who understand the nuances of a legal process will recognize what is happening here.
It’s not funny. I’ve been saying from the beginning that Gen. Flynn’s Attorneys have been working with Mueller, and not for General Flynn.
Flynn’s Attorneys could have these baseless charges dismissed within a month or two.
Immigration.
I was aware of the ruling, but not about the judge deferring to the UN. Perhaps that was an editorial comment.
