The current Queen has a husband, Philip. He is father to Charles, the heir to the throne, but he is not "the King". Only those who are direct descendants (children of the monarch) can be in line for the throne.
That's the way it's supposed to be, anyway. There are rumors Charles may be skipped because of his dalliance with Camilla and the throne would go to his son, William. I don't know who decides that.
Being the second-born of the monarch appears to count for nothing. Elizabeth's sister, Margaret, is not in line. William's younger brother, Harry? I don't know.
At any rate, if you want to reign, you have to come from either the King's loins or the Queen's womb.
Changing the line of succession is exclusively up to the mostly Leftist Parliament. It ain’t gonna happen. Lefties like Charles; he’s one of them.
Well, actually now she's OFFICIALLY a royal pain in the azz. Before, she was just an ordinary garden variety PITA.

I have been here for 20 years.
Recently I have noticed that a nasty kind of racism has taken hold at FR. And I am pretty damned tolerant. Racial jokes, I get it.
The above is a pretty tame example. There have been lots of dialog in black Amos and Andy patios as well has sneering and overt nastiness towards blacks.
Now I am conservative. There are a number of black conservatives here on Free Republic. There are people here whose racial commentary is embarrassing to many of us. And frankly, I dont think black racism has anything to do with being conservative.
I think there needs to be a racial re-set here at FR.

When articles are posted that have to do with our downfall as a society and the pictures show black people acting as they might do as a group, that is on black society and it is not racism. There are many fine citizens of this country who are black. I work with a lot of them who shake their heads at their own people so, with all due respect and friendliness, get off your virtue signaling high horse. You are part of the problem.
As I have said I have been here a long long time. To have people making up disgusting Amos and Andy dialogs is embarrassing and beyond the pale.
I am conservative and racial baiting and ugly statements are not what conservative is about.
I am not talking about discussing the very big problems in black ghettos and the very obvious issues around black crime in our country. I am not talking about showing these issue for at times this is suppressed news. Go to it.
But the yuck, the race insults,the embarrassing forays into suppositions about some perp or victims issues with insulting racial statements. Yuck.
I used to recommend FR to many many people.
Not any more.
I am a daily visitor and a pretty active poster.

When I would be embarrassed to look in the eyes of the black posters on this site because of the disgusting posts...well it breaks my heart.

Well the mod agrees with me, and if you think that I am a problem here and if you think my posts are a problem here because I question exactly how far FR dances in derogatory racial muck, then I dont think that you have conservatism or FR’s best interests.
This site is first and foremost about American conservatism. That has been what I love about it. Not derogatory garbage.
Back around April, Liz went to Parliament to name Chuckles as her successor and it was approved.
Succession has been settled since the Bill of Rights in 1689 and the Act of Settlement of 1701. The Queen has no say.
I never said you were a problem here so don’t put words in my mouth. I read here every day and have since 2000 and have not noticed any racism at all. While I will concede that there are comments made here that virtue signaling busybodies would say are racist I don’t think the posters who make those comments truly hold racism in their hearts.
I am an old (55 years old) southern woman who holds no racism in my heart but I see what I see and I am not going to pretend otherwise. I think that the term mulatto is outdated and mixed race is probably the correct term to use.
