OK. I am hoping maybe someone else can shed some light. All I remember is that the House passed a bill that had money for a border wall. POTUS tweeted that McTurtle should exercise the nuclear option, which was not done.
I read that Trump has the money and that $25 Billion supposedly did pass for the Defense Department budget.
Perhaps that is incorrect. Seems like it was as an Anon on the Forbidden City, maybe, but you know how I just get splinters of all this input and no way to file it in permanent memory. lol.
During all the Trump talk of forcing a Wall under an Emergency Executive Order is when I read that gem, and therefore the funding was said to empowered his ability to get that Wall up, under an EEO, and use the military to do it.
Anyway, you could maybe see if you could find it in the Defense Dep Budget? Just in case.
Trump has certainly backed away from an EEO. May believe he has the Democrats by the nape of the neck on this shut down and chose to let this play out, and at the same time shrink the size of DC in the process. lol.
Or, maybe EEO isn’t playing well in Trump’s inside polling.
