Well, I've always had the option of using blades, but I like electric better. It was never an issue until about a year ago, when my wife bought me a new Norelco.
It was 'different' from my old one, and didn't shave nearly as good. Wifey went out and got what she thought was a better one, and it's just as bad.
Now that I've got my vision back (thank you Dr Haley), I'm going to see if Norelco has a more high quality tier of razors.

Ive been using Harrys for a year or so and find it first rate. Very easy to deal with.
The best part is they give you a heads up a few weeks before shipping so you can delay shipment for a few weeks or a month or two if you have too many blades.
DSC does the same thing. I love the email reminders - Hey, we’re going to ship out your next order of blades. If i have 2 or more still, I just postpone it.
Bttt
The Gilette commercial was typical left wing agitprop-virtue signalling.
One would think a smart business decision would be to not alienate a large section of your customer base but maybe this is a new business model./sarc
I use a Shick razor. The fancy one that comes with 2 blades for 10 bucks. I get over a year for each blade. The trick is to dry the razor after shaving. Just shake the water off and set on its little holder that holds it off the blade. Never use shaving cream. I just use a bar of soap to shave with. Try it.....
Even Dollar Shave Club isn't immune from this.

Now, what in the world does this have to do with getting a great shave product at a reasonable price? Answer, absolutely nothing. Nothing at all.
