Like our political elites, America’s corporate elites live in a bubble. Having worked in both arenas, I can say both have very strong bureaucratic, in-group, conformist cultures, where having the proper attitudes, opinions and slogans are how one survives.

Its particularly important in consumer marketing-type companies, like P&G, Coca Cola, Nike Unilever, Kraft/Mondelez, General Mills - where image is everything to their managers.

So this PC crap flows uninterrupted within the bubble from their public schools, to universities, to their graduate degrees, to their work environments.

Exactly right ... privately held bureaucracies, whose cultures are much like government agencies. Their executives seem to know little about how free markets function.
