Samsung has got a lot right with the Galaxy S10 and the company is so confident, it has already started to brag about the biggest upgrades. But has Samsung made one very critical mistake?

Picked up by the ever-reliable SamMobile, Samsung seems so pleased with the Galaxy S10 that it has priced the range sky high reaching almost $2,000.

The most I've ever paid for a phone is $200.I buy used Samsungs that are a couple of years old.I just bought a Galaxy S7 Edge for $200 and it's great...everything I need and more.

I wouldn't pay $2000 for a phone even if I was worth a billion.

People will still line up to buy it.

No it doesn’t. It costs $350 brand new on eBay in about a year and a half and the buyer will not miss out on ANYTHING worth the cost difference between that and whatever ‘flagship’ they’re putting out for whatever inflated price.

Samsung makes great smart phones.
But that price is absolutely insane and will put a bad taste for their brand sales.
*did you ever think you’d see the day people would be willing to buy their own expensive surveillance reporting gov’t beacon devices??

2 grand to play games and never make a voice call
AND it will be obsolete in months. What a racket.

...The radical 5G-compatible 6.7-inch ‘Galaxy S10 X’ will start at €1,500 ($1,800) for 8GB/512GB and I understand a flagship 10GB/1TB version is expected to come close to $2,000.

Sounds like the tip top of the line model.

Seems Samsung was not paying attention to Apple’s last quarter earnings.

I long for the day I can throw away anything I own by apple. I suspect I will eventually buy a Samsung product.

I have a Note 8 and I use a Dex station that turns the phone into a PC. It is a remarkable advance. I edit video, burn DVDs and upload my records and files on my server and have all my info in my pocket. If you want to make a phone call or play a game it’s not for you and still has a VERY limited market. There’s reasons for a tool like this but not for 99% of consumers.

I long for the day I can throw away anything I own by apple. Did it in 2002 and laugh at how far behind Apple trails.

Apple has dominated the race for profit not market share. I guess Samsung has decided to try the same approach.

Yeah the Iphone is a clunker compared to Samsung. But now Samsung has learned to over price their phones worse than Apple.

Absolutely agree... they build a very profitable phone with very old components and people pay huge markups for it. Great business model, terrible technology.

I’ve never paid more than $400 for a Samsung phone. I love their phones and tablets. I also bought an SD memory card recently, 400G for $90.

The total labor per phone is probably 1-2% of retail. Slave labor.....

I dropped my Galaxy S4 and broke the camera that I need for work. I look for used phones with no luck. Then I heard about unlocked phones at Walmart for $199.

I went to check it out and they are selling brand new Galaxy J3v phones for $18.00 (eighteen dollars). I got one, had everything transferred from my old phone, number, files, contacts and pictures - and was out of there in minutes.

It works great, fast, and the battery lasts three times as long.
