This bill is far worse than if we had just gone with a CR months ago. Also, not in this article, but reported repeatedly on Fox and Fox Business, the bill gives effective control of if the wall gets built to border city mayors who can stop construction in their jurisdictions. If anyone has that provision, please post it.
This bill makes it impossible to defend the border and actually allocates major funding for supplies and transportation for the illegals to interior locations where cooperating organizations have welcome centers.
Finally, and let the lawyers weigh in, it seem like to sign this bill and simultaneously declare a national emergency undermines the rationale for such a declaration.
Sigh.
GOIP continues to be dem lite.
President Trump has been planning for a long time and will take whatever path is necessary to build the wall.
And he gave another great talk a while ago and signed the National Emergency declaration....he’s doing what needs to be done and taking action instead of doing the endless kick-the-can wait w/o anything being done....he’s taking the excesses they gave him for other areas and preparing to reallocate funds. If that’s rolling over, then I’m still 25.
