Without treatment, half of all HIV-positive babies will not live longenough to see their second birthday; a third will not see their first. I doubt they would make it 20 years. Thats pretty established research.
Are you a doctor? I worked with HIV pts for years. 2% never convert to AIDS. Even at your 50% of all 3rd world births that leaves lots surviving.
