I hope the farmer sues the protesters and the local police, if that’s possible in the UK.

She should sue for monetary damages AND for the pain and suffering caused to the animals! Ask for LOTS of money for the pain and suffering, equivalent to what would be asked for if they were human. The protesters can’t argue with that, now can they?
