The Clinton’s knew the secret to winning, you can win with less than 40% of the vote if you have a 3rd party candidate. Had Trump ran as a 3rd party, she would have had it in the bag. She wanted Trump to run, but he went Republican, thus no 3rd party to drain the votes. The brain numbs were her biggest supporters which gave her the chance to win it. Cuz she "knew" that no self-respecting conservative would vote for a twice-divorced womanizer. She got the media to play him up and he got millions in free advertising, much to the chagrin of the other 16 Republican candidates.
