This was the first time I’ve seen them. Nice little club, 300 seats. I went in with high expectations, but they were even better than I expected.

Blackberry Smoke is a victim of the record industry in my opinion. They are a rock band with heavy country influences mixed with blusey sounds reminiscent of the Black Crowes, Skynyrd and the Altman bros. 2 or 3 years ago their new album debued as #1 on the country music charts, but you will not hear them on any radio station. Yet I bought one of their CDs from Best Buy of all places. I guess they aren’t signed by one of the giant corporations that own the radio stations.
