The atheist left just wants to bring Orthodox Jews to heel. They really don’t give a damn about their health. And don’t give me “herd immunity”, either: if kids are vaccinated, they’re most fine in contact with unvaccinated kids. The “herd immunity” thing is basically a justification to force people to vaccinate their kids.

Lots of fake crap out there, and getting worse.
Curious as to why some do and some do not, and found this.

Vaccines are often grown in a broth of animal cells, but the final product is highly purified. Most prominent ultra-Orthodox rabbis agree that vaccines are kosher, and urge observant Jews to be immunized.

You're exactly right, but let me expand a little bit.

The theory of "herd immunity" is just that - a theory. It was an attempt to explain why a small percentage (~5%) of the population never acquired the disease even after being exposed and never developed detectable immunity in the form of antibodies to the pathogen.

This theory was ALWAYS DEPENDENT upon the idea of lifelong immunity among the other 95% and the ability to pass along immunity from mother to child.

Thus, since a vaccination never provides lifelong immunity it does not apply to a population that is vaccinated rather than immune.

Nonetheless - it was co-opted as a propaganda tool by the pro forced vaccination to convince the masses that someone that chooses not to vaccinate is somehow a threat to the public. It's also why we hear their claim that there needs to be a 95% vaccination rate among the populace for herd immunity to be effective.
