True that Wray’s careful words were misrepresented, but his words revealed him as being a derpish weasel who was dissing his boss while giving the dems a soundbite he knew they wanted. Had he not been a derp, he could have said that “given your premises, when the FBI listens to phone calls of criminals and terrorists through authorized warrants, we usually call it surveillance. However, spying is sometimes used as a synonym for surveillance, as the dictionary can attest.”

And here are a few more interesting ones:
Wray was doing a semantic dance; NOT rebutting anything AG Barr said.
He said he had no 'personal' knowledge of the investigations. That doesn't mean they are not occurring outside his purview. The congress may be stupid.
He isn't...— Trumpster (@Gettingtrump) May 8, 2019
important fact:
Wray travelled to EVERY field office in the country over a 14 month period. He was there to rally the troops past the McCabe/DoJ plot. They all KNEW this was illegal.
The FBI just got de-politicised with him at the helm...— Trumpster (@Gettingtrump) May 8, 2019
Wray HAS to say what he said. Otherwise, when these rats are busted through the use of FISA warrants (legal ones), they would accuse Trump of "spying" on them as well.
This is all about optics and legal definitions.— [Classified]👤 (@GhostlnTheMist) May 8, 2019
The difference between surveillance and spying is the same as the difference between naked and nekkid.
Yes I watched Wrays face as he gave her her soundbite. But I havent decided if hes a derp or just not quick enough to analyze the qualifications she placed on the question. Had he said yes if we were surveilling mobsters or terrorists and followed all procedures I would not call it spying. However, if we were surveilling an opposition political party and did not stick to procedures I would call it spying he would have avoided the sound bite. Some think hes only concerned with protecting the FBI.
