Courts sometimes require periodic status reports letting the court know where the parties are in the case vis a vis discovery, settlement, readiness for trial, and motions anticipated. This case is by Benjamin Wittes, who is, IIRC, Comey’s pal at Lawfare, a group of radical attorneys. He sued under FOIA for some documents. According to the report, the documents have now been provided, after some new searches were made, and there has been agreement on the amount of attorneys fees to be paid to Wittes. The final settlement agreement has not been completed yet, so the parties are asking for a delay until June for a final report to the court, by which time the case will be dismissed.
