THE furry star of the 2019 remake of Pet Sematary has died just weeks after the movie was released.

Leo the Cat captured audiences' hearts in the film adaptation of Stephen King's 1983 novel.

His mysterious death was confirmed by animal trainer Kirk Jarrett on Leo's Instagram account, after he adopted the cat shortly after filming.

He wrote: "It is with great sadness that we tell you that Leo has passed away.

"He will be forever missed by his human and fur family. May his star always shine bright."

The Maine Coon cat was one of four felines used to play Church in the horror flick.

If you can get through even 15 minutes of this “movie”, you’re a better person than me.

Fred Gwynn was the only reason I watched the last one.

Doubt I could hate this one any worse, still not a reason to watch it, even for free.

I’ve also loathed Stephen King since he stopped writing his own books and came out against America.

I read the book. I have no intention of watching the movie.

Was it that bad?

Hollywood has run out of ideas.

The books are almost always better. Nothing, IMHO, can scare you more than your own imagination.

No movie has ever haunted me. Except that one.

I was well into my teens bbut every night for a long time, I stared from my bed at the basement window waiting for pop to return.

I love him but I didnt want him to!! :)

Who knows why certain movies affect us?

I had the opposite experience with ‘Jaws’ and ‘The Exorcist’. Reading the books didn’t bother me much, but once the films came out with all the hoopla, I didn’t want to go into the ocean or even think about demons and exorcism.

Maybe some kind of ‘collective consciousness’ energy at work; or maybe I have a very pedestrian imagination.

In general, though, the books are always better.

Not a big Stephan King fan, But “the stand” was riveting.

“I love him but I didnt want him to!! :)”

That reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode I saw again a few weeks ago.

Yes, “The Stand” was very engrossing. Hope they don’t attempt a remake.

I stayed up all night to read the book and loved it, one of the last I believe he wrote.

The movie was good, too, but POS #neverTrump Gary Sinise had to ruin it for everyone.

As loony as King is, this remains the best fiction book I have ever read. Just outstanding.
