"After Comanche Moon, may I recommend Blood Meridian?" I will add it to the list! After Comanche Moon I plan on reading dead men walking...I loved Lonesome Dove but haven't been able to bring myself to read Streets of Laredo. (Losing my favorite character was hard to accept. 😁) So I decided to read the rest of the series out of order!

"Not a big Stephan King fan, But the stand was riveting."
CBS All Access is doing a new miniseries of the book, which will probably air sometime in 2020.

That was a depressing and scary movie......”Church” the cat and the little boy’s fate put me in a sad mood for weeks. I’ll never forget it and as evidenced by Stephen King losing his marbles lately I wonder if his “mind” wasn’t on it’s way out when he wrote that movie.......;)

Almost all of his books did that to me. I swear than man is demon possessed. :-) Who thinks up stuff like that?
I agree and then to turn around and do something entirely different like “Dolores Clairborne”. I loved that movie, I guess I’m nuts but it demonstrated that some people have their comeuppances in the most delightful ways and good people really do win.......;)

Maybe that’s why it messed me up. It wasn’t so much a scary movie as it was a kind of sick movie.
And he is a kind of sick guy.

Why do they feel compelled to remake successful old movies? The remake almost never equals the original.
