SUNY professor pens article titled ‘Seeing poor white people makes me happy’
A professor at SUNY Old Westbury is offering a lesson in hate.
Nicholas Powers, an associate professor of literature at the taxpayer-funded public college on Long Island, penned an article titled, “Seeing poor white people makes me happy,” that was posted to the website RaceBaitr on June 11.
“White people begging us for food feels like justice . . . It feels like a Black Nationalist wet dream,” Powers wrote as he recounted seeing a “white homeless boy” panhandling in a black neighborhood.
“Should I kick him in the face? Hard?” writes Powers, 44, who identifies as Puerto Rican and part of the “black nationalist tradition.”

White people died to free your ancestors. The South was destroyed and impoverished for decades after the civil war. Whites have sacrificed enough, and do not need to feel guilty, or need to atone further for slavery, which was practiced for centuries by anyone that could get away with it, and is still practiced by some even today.

An English professor should recognize that a descendant would beg for *his* life while multiple descendants would beg for their lives.

Assistant and associate professors are called professors - lower case p.
SUNY has some good schools. Old Westbury isn’t near the top though. It has had a troubled history and a troubled faculty since before the school even opened.
If you want to have some fun, go read his PhD Dissertation to get an update on what passes for scholarship in today’s academic environment.

It’s been bad a long time. I had a friend who got a PhD from Berkeley 20 or so years back. Once that was a solid gold resume and entry to a career in academia. He couldn’t find a job teaching at a good university because he was a white male doing pretty vanilla research on Shakespeare. He ended up teaching at some podunk private college on the East Coast briefly. He gave up on academia almost immediately. Smart move.
Guarantee you he doesn’t have an IQ above 80.
Just what I was thinking. Reading his article it screams moron, you can see the wheels turning very very slowly. He’s one of those who lacks the intellect to comprehend basic facts so he creates his own like a child.
