While I’m not going to judge anyone, and even say that I know what I would do, in my Monday morning quarter back role, I think warning shots are always a bad idea.
Having a gun coming into position so that it is clear that business is meant is warning enough. Unless there is a pile of distance between the assailant and the gun, the gun can change hands all too quickly.
Very true. I just know how long it takes me to fire 39 rounds at the range. He had to reload at least twice. At some point a crazed and dangerous attacker is worth less than 39 holes in my walls, especially when they keep on coming. I suppose on some level I applaud his restraint, since it didn’t get anyone killed or seriously hurt. Why have the gun if you are going to have to choke them out anyway? Oh, well, crazy news story. I’m amazed it isn’t from Florida.
